Mori Matcha tin beside an iced matcha latte for an easy matcha latte recipe

An iced matcha latte is one of the easiest ways to enjoy matcha at home. You only need matcha, water, milk and ice, and the whole drink can be ready in a few minutes.

What you need

  • 2g ceremonial grade matcha
  • About 60ml warm water
  • 150–200ml milk of your choice
  • Ice
  • Optional sweetener to taste

How to make an iced matcha latte

  1. Sift the matcha. Add 2g of matcha to a bowl or cup. Sifting helps reduce clumps.
  2. Add warm water. Use warm water rather than boiling water, then whisk until the matcha is smooth and lightly frothy.
  3. Prepare the glass. Fill a glass with ice and add your milk.
  4. Pour in the matcha. Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the milk and stir before drinking.

How to get a smoother latte

Start with a small amount of water so the matcha is fully dispersed before you add milk. If you do not have a bamboo whisk, a handheld frother or a tightly sealed jar can also work.

Mori matcha has a smooth, earthy profile with gentle umami, so it works well in both simple iced matcha and milk-based drinks. You can shop Mori ceremonial matcha in Lebanon in 30g and 50g tins.

Which Mori size should you use?

The 30g tin makes approximately 15 servings at 2g each, while the 50g tin makes approximately 25 servings. If matcha lattes are part of your regular routine, the larger tin is the more convenient choice.
