Our story

Finding good matcha in Lebanon wasn’t easy, especially in the Bekaa. That’s where Mori began.

Dietitian Samar Al Khoury and her nephew Khaled Chalha started Mori to make the matcha they were looking for easier to find close to home. Samar brings her background in nutrition, and together they share a focus on the quality of what goes into each tin.

Our name means “forest” in Japanese. Our home is the Bekaa.

We started with ceremonial grade matcha in two sizes, ready to whisk with water or pour over your favorite milk.
